JVM installation

For best results, use the most recent version of Java 8, from Oracle. Other JVMs (such as OpenJDK) can also be used with Cassandra. If you decide to use a non-Oracle JVM, be sure to thoroughly test your cluster to ensure acceptable levels of performance and stability.
