Wrapping Up RubyMotion

RubyMotion is a lot of fun. It’s refreshing to be able to write mobile apps in Ruby, and the tools that RubyMotion includes, such as its specs and console, are more fun to use than the native alternatives on either platform.

Strengths

Of course one of the biggest strengths of RubyMotion is Ruby itself. If you’re not familiar with the language, you’ll quickly learn to love it. If you’re already familiar with Ruby, RubyMotion makes you feel right at home.

The console is also really useful when designing an app. To be able to affect the app in real time makes a more interactive, exploratory style of development possible, and allows developers to bypass the compile-deploy grind a little more often.
