Throughout this book safety precautions have been described before getting involved in the service process and collectively these form the overall safety instructions here. Some general points also apply. For example, all power plugs, leads and connectors should be checked for correct and safe wiring, correct fuse values, etc. prior to commencing the repair. Always fit the correct type of fuse or fusible device, e.g. quick-blow for quick-blow, not anti-surge.
