RECEIVER AUDIO CIRCUITS
Unlike a traditional, terrestrial TV receiver, the audio circuits of a typical satellite receiver are rather complex. They are invariably stereo (although mono systems still exist, particularly in SMATV form), with the possibility of variable i.f. bandwidth and switchable de-emphasis time constants among others.
Having said this, the results are usually that the symptoms are much the same as traditional TV but you have much more circuitry to search through to find the cause.
