PREFACE

The satellite television market is a phenomenally complex one from all perspectives. The overall perception of the medium is of low grade, expensive to view, often imported programming received by virtue of ugly antennae. The advent of populus satellite television in the UK primarily by virtue of News International’s (Sky) BSkyB introduced us to a whole new concept of what format our TV broadcasts take and it has been decidely unpalletable to many. It has had a decidedly American taste and by no means the best of American taste!
