Specify information architecture

Specification of the information architecture begins by analyzing the data requirements with respect to the importance of the solution to the organization, the scale (size and complexity) of the solution, and existing data architectures. Timescales, financial constraints, and the non-functional requirements of the project must also be taken into account.

The total strategy will be more complex than a simple statement of conformity. Gap analysis will reveal shortcomings in the business architecture of the solution project – elements of information that must be managed in order to maintain the integrity of the organization's data.
