For applications that have a handful of users, the cost of a serverless application usually rounds down to free. Amazon offers most of its services at no cost,[102] as long as you stay under a set limit of resource use. The incremental costs of usage above this free tier are often extremely low. Even for moderately sized applications, the costs of exceeding these limits can be just pennies per month. This can be an advantage over solutions like virtual server hosts, which charge a fixed cost per month whether you have one user or ten thousand.
