App Service plan

The App Service plan lets you pre-allocate resources and makes your costs predictable. While auto-scaling is possible with App Service plan, it does not scale directly based on the request number, but rather based on metrics such as CPU or memory utilization. The App Service plan also has some instance allocation limits based on the pricing tier.

The pricing of the App Service is based on the tier and the number of instances. The Standard tier is recommended for most production applications, and we will, for simplicity, stick to Standard tier in the following estimate.
