Code quality

Returning back to other aspects of application level security, it is important to mention code quality. Poor code quality can provide a potential attacker with an ability to stress the system, or exploit the system's vulnerabilities by such means as SQL injection or cross-site scripting. One of the trusted sources for code quality security standards is Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).
