A Function App can be comprised of one or more individual functions that are hosted together. These functions do not have to be of the same type or even written in the same language.
When deploying functions from source control or a continuous delivery pipeline, the Function App represents the smallest deployment unit (i.e. the separate functions in the Function App cannot be deployed independently).
