Subscription constraints

Depending on the type of resource or service, there may be a quota on the number of resources that can be deployed into a single subscription. For instance, there is a limitation on the number of cores and the number of storage accounts in the subscription. There are both soft and hard limits. By default, the subscription is deployed with the soft limit, which can then be increased up to the hard limit by calling Microsoft support.

During the development covered in this book, we will never exceed any default limits. In production environments, however, especially for large scale applications, the subscription limits are very important for planning.
