CHAPTER 6 RDF Schema

Just as Semantic Web modeling in RDF is about graphs, Semantic Web modeling in the RDF Schema Language (RDFS) is about sets. Some aspects of set membership can be modeled in RDF alone, as we have seen with the rdf:type built-in property. But RDF itself simply creates a graph structure to represent data. RDFS provides some guidelines about how to use this graph structure in a disciplined way. It provides a way to talk about the vocabulary that will be used in an RDF graph.
