Chapter 30. Select the words you use carefully

The words used are keys to conveying a message. When they are well chosen, they help the Sales Ambassador communicate the beauty of emotion. When specific well-selected words are used, the listener wants to hear more.

Some words and phrases are simply more positive and elegant than others. They serve as a vehicle to enhance the subject being discussed. "Sushi" sounds a lot better than "raw fish." The word "product" does not have the same magic as "creation."

With words there is often a choice that needs to be made to express an additional quality. Choosing one over the other takes the discussion into another universe.

"We are going to find a piece that your wife will really love" has much more impact than simply saying, "I will find you something."

Instead of "price" or "cost," try "value." Choose "unique" over "different" and "exquisite" over "nice."

The right words add value to the proposal and make it more intense.
