The next question we need to ask is, what job are you actually giving yourself? There is a whole industry built around the so-called science of personnel selection – in other words, getting the right person for the right job. Inside big companies, a huge amount of time and money is swallowed up by the human resources department, which I find strange as they never seem very human or very resourceful.
