Summary

In this chapter, we covered a brief overview of the Selenium testing tools, and the architecture of WebDriver, WebElements. We learned how to set up a test-development environment using Eclipse, Maven, and TestNG. This will provide us with the foundation to build a testing framework using Selenium. Then, we saw how to locate elements, and the actions that can be taken on them. This is the most important aspect when automating Web Applications. In this chapter, we used ChromeDriver to run our tests. In the next chapter, we will learn how to configure and run tests on Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft IE and Edge, and Apple Safari.
