She: So, can you see systems now?
He: Well, I think so, and I’m amazed at what I see. I’m becoming aware of the stories I make up. I find myself wondering about the history of events: What led up to this moment? I’m constantly seeing myself in relationship with others—as a Top or a Bottom, an End or a Middle, a Provider or a Customer. I’m more aware of Turf and Alienation and GroupThink. I’m beginning to see how processes get politicized. I’m coming to face the uncertainty underlying unquestioned beliefs. I see quite a bit.
She: You see the dances?
He: I sure do. And I see that I can change them. And I know that it’s not always easy, that there are plenty of opportunities to retreat into the old dances.
She: And resistance? ...
