To close this book, we must come back from the team and organizational levels to focus on the individual. It is easy to look out our windows and criticize neighbors who are messy or creating some kind of nuisance. In the workplace, it is equally easy to look at the helm of dysfunctional units and find faults. In reality, in either situation, you can take action from where you are. We each play a critical role in building successful corporate cultures by taking personal responsibility and acting on what we can control. It is what we must do if we are serious about making positive things happen.
