Understand the basic security implications of business continuity.

Whereas disaster recovery seeks to fix systems, utilities, facilities, and business functions in the short-term, business continuity plans extend the idea of the DRP to cover an undetermined amount of time. A common approach to developing a business continuity plan is to return to the DRP and ask, “What if we were offline for a year instead of a week or two?”
