About the Authors
Greg Witte has been building and securing computer systems since 1985 and leads G2’s support for U.S. federal civilian customers. His experience with both configuration management and information security naturally led to his role in establishing SCAP and related standards. He lives in southern Maryland with his wife, Stacey, and his daughter, Melissa.
Melanie Cook is an information systems engineer at G2 in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. She previously worked at the National Security Agency, where she contributed to security guides and evaluated the security of fielded systems throughout the Department of Defense.
