Troubleshooting
Although not likely, if you power up your ASA/PIX security appliance for the first time and it hangs and reports an error that hardware cards were not found, follow these steps:
Step 1. | Power down your ASA/PIX Security Appliance. |
Step 2. | Remove the cover as instructed by the hardware installation instructions. Remember to use ESD grounding before you handle the internal cards. |
Step 3. | Reseat any removable network interface cards or memory cards. |
Step 4. | Replace the cover as instructed by the hardware installation instructions. |
Step 5. | Turn the power back on the ASA/PIX Security Appliance. |
