Social media makes attacking the end user much simpler. People knowingly and unknowingly give out a lot of information on social media platforms that can be used against them. The social media sites go online and attract thousands and millions of users very quickly, without having a long history of finding and fixing bugs in their applications. If companies are going to allow employees to use social media, they have to educate them on the risks and provide more resources to help reduce the risks to their users.
