GapXse has a downloadable Java implementation of XMLDSIG implemented by students at “Dipartimento di Informatica dell 'Universita' di Pisa.” It has successfully interoperated for all tested features except for Minimal Canonicalization (which no one else implemented either), the XPath here( ) function, and XSLT.
