Cisco Devices Supported by Router MC
The Router MC supports only specific routers, and specific routers must be either hub or spoke devices. For instance, the 800, 1700, and 2600 series routers can be spoke devices only. The 3600, 7100, and 7200 series routers can be either hub or spoke devices. The 7400 series router can be a hub device.
Creating Device Groups
Groups are a way to organize routers according to your own organization's needs. Cisco recommends that you create device groups prior to importing devices. Cisco has also included three predefined groups within the Router MC. The predefined groups are Default-1710-eth0, Default-17x0-serial0, and Default-806-spokes.
