In this chapter, we discussed the Cisco Easy VPN Server and Easy VPN Remote features, limitations, and configurations. The benefit of using Easy VPN is that you can utilize your existing IOS equipment and centrally maintain security policies. You can then push these security policies to the Easy VPN Remotes when an IPSec tunnel initiation is in progress. Easy VPN is not just compatible with Cisco VPN Software Clients; it is also compatible with IOS routers, PIX Firewalls, and the Cisco VPN Hardware Client.
