CSACS Services

When you install CSACS, it also installs in Windows several services and daemons that are required for CSACS functionality:

  • CSAdmin— Allows for the configuration of CSACS via a GUI.

  • CSAuth— Determines whether user access should be allowed or denied (authentication). Also determines the rights a user has (authorization) once the user is authenticated.

  • CSDBSync— Provides group and user management.

  • CSLog— Captures logging information and stores it in comma-separated values (CSV) files.

  • CSMon— Monitors the CSACS system and automatically attempts to fix any problems that are detected.

  • CSTacacs— Communicates between the router and CSAuth.

  • CSRadius— Communicates between the router and CSAuth.
