RADIUS is based on the client/server model and was originally developed by Livingston.

Features of RADIUS
One of the benefits of using RADIUS is that the protocol has strong accounting features. Also, RADIUS uses User Datagram Protocol (UDP) as its transport protocol and combines the services of authentication and authorization into one service.
