U.S. International Trade Commission Section 337 Process

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) Section 337 process is designed to provide companies a means to protect their intellectual property rights.

Section 337 investigations (www.usitc.gov/trade_remedy/int_prop/inv_his.htm) conducted by the U.S. International Trade Commission most often involve claims regarding intellectual property rights, including allegations of patent infringement and trademark infringement by imported goods.
