ABOUT THE AUTHORS
David Hollister served as Mayor of Lansing, Michigan from 1994 to 2003, until he became Director of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth in then Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm’s administration. During his tenure as Lansing Mayor, Hollister championed the movement to keep GM in the Lansing area; GM building the Grand River Assembly Plant; and GM replacing the Lansing Car Assembly Plant which dated back to 1903.
