99. Rick Steves

Few people can name any travel guru whose notoriety and success even approaches that of Rick Steves. For the past 20 years he’s been a best-selling author, radio and television personality, and has almost singlehandedly redefined European travel for a generation of tourists—or “temporary locals”—with the goal to help Americans enjoy their travels smartly, economically, and with maximum experience. In addition, he’s engaged in community outreach for homeless mothers and their children, and he’s recently advocated for the decriminalization of marijuana among responsible adult users.
