95. Kurt Timmermeister

In 1991 Kurt left a life in the city and moved to nearby Vashon Island where he became a farmer, cheese maker, and author of the book Growing a Farmer. Kurtwood Farms is home to cows, sheep, pigs, fowl, and the best veggies around. For those in the know, he hosts Sunday evening dinners, where Seattle’s best cooks create sublime meals made from ingredients produced on his 13 acres of land. Seattle: KVI beach on Vashon Island, a walk underneath the Alaskan Way Viaduct, the hot chocolate at Café Presse.
