79. Light In The Attic

In the late ’90s Matt Sullivan roped lifelong friend Josh Wright into his idea of a record label and Light In The Attic Records was born. With a mission to put out great music—wherever it may be found, however it may sound—they exude soul and have a disdain for convention. They’ve launched bands like The Saturday Knights, The Blakes, and The Black Angels, but they specialize in compilations like Wheedle’s Groove and re-releases from timeless musicians like Sixto Rodriguez, Betty Davis, Serge Gainsbourg, and Kris Kristofferson.
