05. KEXP

The tagline for Seattle’s listener-powered 90.3 KEXP radio is “where the music matters,” and they mean it. Both terrestrially and online, the station is renowned for breaking new music through its dozens of weekly shows and a vast array of world-class DJs and masterfully curated eclectic music. The station is perhaps best known via its two daytime hosts, John Richards and Cheryl Waters, whose insights and influence—especially in the indie music scene—are nearly impossible to overstate.
