Removing Revisions

When you’re done working with the revision colors, you can remove them from the text one color at a time or all at the same time.

tip.eps Removal applies only to the document(s) being viewed in the Editor, so to affect the entire manuscript, select the Manuscript (Draft) folder and go to View⇒Scrivenings.

Removing revisions by color

If you’re done working with a specific level of revisions and you’re ready to make the changes permanent — meaning change them back to regular text — you can remove the revisions in only that color by following these steps:

1. Select the desired document(s) to work with in the Binder.

2. Click in the Editor pane to activate it.

3. If you’re not in Revision mode already, choose FormatRevision Mode, and choose the color/level that you want to remove from the submenu that appears.

The cursor changes color to indicate that you’re in Revision mode.

4. Choose FormatRevision ModeRemove Current Revision Color.

All text in that revision color changes to regular text.

remember.eps In fact, because revision marking is really just applying text colors, any text in the same color as the Revision mode you’re removing reverts to regular text, even if the color was not applied via Revision mode.
