Sorting Paragraphs

It’s a snap to put a selection of paragraphs in alphabetical order, either ascending or descending. Just select two or more paragraphs (lines of text followed by a paragraph break — a hard return), choose Edit⇒Sort Paragraphs, and choose Ascending (A–Z) or Descending (Z–A) from the submenu that appears.

Note: This option doesn’t work for rows within a table. To sort table rows, click in the column that you want to sort by, and then choose Format⇒Table⇒Sort Rows Ascending or Sort Rows Descending (depending on how you want to sort).
