Lesson 20. The Wave, Utah

This is one of my favorite shots in the book, partially because I love the water’s reflection of the sky, partially because I love how the Lab color move just makes this photo “sing,” and partially because I survived the three-mile hike over mountains in 112° desert heat, while lugging a backpack full of camera gear (something I could never have done if I hadn’t lost over 100 lbs in the past year). It was a real milestone for me, as I hope this chapter is a milestone for you, because when I mentioned “the Lab color move,” you knew what I was talking about. Cool, ain’t it?
