We can use the performance models discussed in Chapters 8 and 9 to answer the capacity planning questions posed in Section 14.2.1. These questions are rephrased below in more precise terms, using the workload intensity parameters derived in Section 14.3.
Will the site be able to support a load of 4.756 transactions/sec generated by the Configure function?
Will the site support parts inventory updates at a rate of 0.0946 updates/sec and inventory checking queries at a rate of 0.00833 transactions/sec?
The new workloads will share the same IT resources with the already existing workloads.
