11 Network sensing and exchange information effectiveness
This chapter considers the strategies that a node and network can implement to determine the relative benefit and costs of exchanging both internal state information (such as routing link state) and externally sensed information (such as spectrum occupancy) (Figure 11.1). This analysis uses the spectrum probability distributions from the environment measurements to characterize the actual information content of spectrum sensing operations.
