Prepare for the Presentation

As much as we’d like to appear spontaneous when we deliver presentations, be they stand-up or sit-down, it’s very confidence building to be able to refer to our notes during the session to make sure that we don’t forget to say anything important. Here are three options for how to prepare these notes.

I. REFERENCES

On each page of your copy of the visuals: (1) underline or circle words, numbers, references to be emphasized and write reference notes; (2) Write the questions you want to be sure to ask of the audience, and leave space on the page to copy the corresponding answers; (3) At the bottom of the page, write the transition to the next page so you can speak it before you turn the page.
