If you are already retired, you’ll probably want to review the checklist items of the previous chapter once a year, and more frequently if your situation changes. For instance, your children might be older now and not need the trust that you created when they were younger. You might have decided to remove a particularly noxious relative from your list of beneficiaries, or conversely, if he’s shaped up, you might want to include him. One of your trustees might be no longer available to serve in that capacity, and so you will need to name someone else. Perhaps you might move to another state, which would require a legal review for the new state’s laws.
