Data structure

Both PROC LIFETEST and PROC PHREG will allow the analyst to take into account the variables that explain the survival time. However, there is a difference in how input data can be structured for the latter procedure. Both these procedures will take into account instances where each subject will have one row of data. This is the major deviation from most of the time series datasets we have observed in this book. Most of the data have subjects with multiple rows, with each row signifying a point in time.
