SAS Libraries
So far you've learned about SAS
programs. Now let's look at SAS libraries to see how SAS data sets
and other SAS files are organized and stored.
How SAS Files Are Stored
Every SAS file is stored in a SAS library, which is a collection of
SAS files. A SAS data library is the highest level of organization
for information within SAS.
For example, in the Windows and UNIX environments, a library is
typically a group of SAS files in the same folder or
directory.
