Responding to the major industry shift to a services-based, enterprise-scale, integrated business architecture, SAP has introduced Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) by means of its integration and service-based platform, SAP NetWeaver.
SAP NetWeaver is the integration platform and the technical foundation on which almost all SAP solutions are currently based. SAP NetWeaver provides core functions for the infrastructure of all the SAP business solutions organized in four layers: people integration, information integration, process integration, and the application platform.
