Summary

In this chapter, I discussed the need and importance of crafting a solution vision prior to designing or implementing mySAP. Different technology perspectives were covered, and the importance of refining the solution vision in regard to SAP system landscape requirements and constraints was covered as well. After the vision began to take form, I reviewed a few methods of capturing all of the data that came together to create the vision—constraints, assumptions, boundary conditions, and so on—including using a knowledge repository, developing an RFI, preparing for the SAP sizing process, and more.
