CHAPTER 28SAP Heterogeneous System Copies

In this chapter we will study the second type of system copy: the heterogeneous system copy. A heterogeneous system copy is also called an OS/DB migration, or operating system/database migration. Because of the complexity and importance of the migration project, SAP recommends that the migration be performed by a SAP-certified OS/DB migration consultant. This is particularly applicable for production system migrations.
