Solution Manager Diagnostic
Solution Manager Diagnostic (SMD) and Wily Introscope are installed to enable end-to-end monitoring and root cause analysis. The SMD system is installed on the central monitoring system once in the landscape, and SMD agents are installed on the satellite systems that communicate to the central SMD system. SAPinst is used to install the SMD agent in all the satellite systems. The illustration shows the installation option for the SMD agent.
