Remote Client Copy

A client copy performed between two different systems using an RFC connection is referred to as a remote client copy. When performing a remote client copy, an RFC connection for the source system must be set up between the source and target system client. Unlike a local client copy, a remote client copy performs a repository comparison as a prerequisite for the copy. If there are any data dictionary differences between the source and target system client, they have to be rectified before a successful completion of the remote client copy can take place.
