SAP Installation Options in NW 7.1–Based Systems
In NW 7.1–based installations, some of the terminology is changed. Otherwise, the installation options are more or less the same as in NW 7.0–based systems. The central system installation option is now called the standard system installation.
Standard System Installation
In this install option, the SAP central instance and database instance are installed on the same host. This option is recommended for small installations and development and test systems. The distributed and high-availability install options are the same as in NW 7.0–based installs.
