Getting to Know Wikiquote
Wikiquote is another fun project from the Wikimedia Foundation, a collaborative compendium of famous quotations. These include quotations from well-known people, books, films, and proverbs; some you’re undoubtedly familiar with; others will be new to you.
Like other Wikimedia Foundations projects, Wikiquote is available in multiple languages—89 at last count. The English-language version of Wikiquote has more than 16,000 quotations listed. These quotations are organized both by topic and by source, so you can look up all of Mark Twain’s quotations, for example, or quotations about politics. ...
