DHTML, also called Dynamic HTML, is the use of HTML and other technologies, such as JavaScript and XML, to enable more effective and interactive Web sites. All of these technologies do their jobs after the Web page loads onto a user’s computer. Before DHTML, the user would have to reload the Web page to see a change such as text color, but DHTML provides such changes inside the user’s browser without requiring a page reload. Common Web page elements, such as buttons that change when the user moves the mouse cursor over them, are possible due to DHTML.
