Now that you know all about using iTunes Match, it’s time to understand the service’s limitations and restrictions.

You Get What You Pay For

iTunes Match packs in an impressively large feature set for $24.99/year. But, the service isn’t without its limits.

First, there are hardware limits. You must be running iTunes 10.5.1 or later on your computer, and you must be running iOS 5.0.1 or later on your iOS devices. Only the iPhone 3GS or newer, iPod touch third generation or newer, and all iPads support the service.
